TIP114 10-channel Absolute Encoder Interface (SSI) IndustryPack module is a IndustryPack compatible module for motion control applications. The TIP114 offers 10 separate SSI interfaces with programmable clock rates from 1μs to 15μs and programmable data bits from 1 to 32 bits. Position feedback is provided by an absolute encoder with a synchronous serial interface (SSI) and the corresponding 32-bit (maximum) shift register at the IP. The encoder signal is RS422. Data input is electrically isolated by high-speed optical couplers. Each SSI channel can handle data streams encoded in binary or gray code, without parity or with parity, and even or parity.
