Description:
The field I/O signals are connected to the FBM subsystem via the DIN rail mounting terminating Assembly (TA). FBM offers several types of TA to provide I/O signal connections, signal conditioning, signal surge light isolation, external power connections and/or fuses to protect FBM and/or field equipment according to the requirements of a specific FBM. Because these functions are built into the terminating assembly (if required), field circuit functions such as circuit protection or signal conditioning (including fusing and power distribution) can be implemented without additional terminating equipment in most applications.
The termination component can be used with a single FBM207 or a redundant pair (two FBM207s). The end assembly mounted on the DIN rail is connected to the FBM subsystem baseplate via a detachable end cable. When used with redundant module pairs, the termination components are connected to the baseplate using a redundant adapter (P0926ZY). The TA mounted on the DIN rail is connected to the redundant adapter via a detachable terminal cable. Cables for single and redundant configurations are available in a variety of lengths up to 30 meters (98 ft), allowing terminal components to be installed in a housing or adjacent housing
