The 8200-203 digital overspeed trip device is an important safety device used to detect and control the operating speed of equipment or vehicles. Its core function is to monitor the operating speed of the equipment in real time, and when the speed exceeds the set safety threshold, it can stop the operation of the equipment or vehicle quickly by automatically disconnecting the power or taking other measures, so as to avoid the danger and damage that may be caused by speeding.
The quick protection series is available in two versions: tripping tripping and tripping tripping. Model 8200-203 is a power trip version of the 120 Vac/dc input model. The model consists of three separate, identical speed sensing units, each with its own power supply. These units sense the prime mover speed via magnetic pickups and perform separate speed calculations, which are then used for two-thirds of the hardware voting.
Model 8200-203 has a rich feature set including remote reset, LED performance indicator, built-in self-test, alarm output and key lock.
The LED performance indicator is located on the front panel of the device, next to the touchpad and digital display. Together, the LED and digital display provide a quick, clear overview of the current functional status of the 8200-203 system.
The built-in self-check function is implemented through the built-in frequency generator. This setting allows individual units to be tested while the prime mover remains online. When testing one unit, full control is exercised by the other two units. This configuration also means that if any of the speed sensing units on the 8200-203 fail, it can be replaced with little downtime.
