The H201Ti is an online early warning transmitter that is permanently installed on the transformer.
The primary role of the H201Ti is to continuously monitor dissolved gases in transformer oil, providing early warning to help prevent potential failures. It has a composite gas sensor that responds to both hydrogen (a common fault gas) and carbon dioxide (overheated paper). The device can also set alarm levels to give early warning of potential problems, while being able to remotely monitor developing failure conditions.
In addition, the H201Ti also features local and remote alerts, which are set at predefined levels or rates of change, allowing remote viewing of gas readings and trends via serial port communication. It is also equipped with a computer interface that can download data and set alerts.
The H201Ti can provide up to a year of local data logging and significant event logging, including a single reading (ppm) of the compound value of the faulty gas, so that users can understand and deal with possible fault problems in a timely way.
