The T8448 is a primary interface between detection-related field equipment designed for fire and gas detection and suppression. Each channel is configurable and enables multiple field devices to be connected. These devices include the generation of analog and digital input signals, as well as output devices that require up to 40V digital signals.
Each power pack of the T8448 is powered by dual 24V DC power supplies, which are “universal” via diodes on the VFTA. Each channel in the supply group is then supplied. The supply voltage is fed to the site through a 315mA fuse. The input signal (0-20mA) is fed from the field standby to effectively limit the input signal through a 50mA fuse. The voltage is developed through the input’s 250R resistance (precision 0.1%) for the input module to detect the position of the field equipment.
