The 1756-IRT8I is a ControlLogix analog input module.
It features eight (8) configurable channels for resistance temperature detectors (RTDS), thermocouples, and millivolt inputs. The module realizes high resolution analog-to-digital conversion by Sigma Delta method. The converted data is saved to IEEE 32-bit floating point. Human Machine interfaces (HMI), supervisory control and Data acquisition (SCADA), and distributed control systems (DCS) are ideal for accessing the converted data.
In addition, the 1756-IRT8I module is capable of open circuit detection, with thermocouple input and 3-wire RTD detection time of 2 seconds, and 4-wire RTD detection time of 5 seconds. The input range supported by this module is 1-500? 2-1000? , 4-2000? – 8-4000? And -100 to 100 millivolts.
